tires and rim Q&A

i have been researching tires as of late, and i have throughly confused myself on the topic.

I am waiting till next year(ie after winter) to go 19.5, if I can find some rims!
rim dealer needed

So i need 16" tires for the factory rims I have just to get me by till then. I have 5 tires right now, with two pretty bald, lost one tire last winter. So, a complete set is in order.

I found some used tires that are rated at 2370 lbs but only a 6 ply tire, i have load D and a 2335 lbs tire. My tire rating is a 65psi and i only have 50psi in them i think they are just a bit sloppy. Would this be close to having a 2370 lbs at full psi?

tires above are rated at 2370 with 45 max psi and 2335 at 65 max psi, confused? i am
Also benifits of having a tire rated more in lbs then the rims? my factory rims are only rated for 2500 lbs!

How do you get a rim rating of only 2500lbs but max pressure of rim 80psi? can you get a tire the same? dumb confusing.

load range = ply rating but has nothing to do with lbs rate?
i.e load range c with higher lbs then load range d.
ply rating goes with how stiff the sidewalls are?
but is not true when less then max psi in tire is not use?

Why do people buy high load range and not run full psi in the tires affectively creating a high ply tire with no lbs of capacity? which would be sloppy sidewalls. please see tirerack link below to explain the lbs vs psi in the tire stuff.

I dont haul alot, but want to insure i have the capablity to do so in a medium weight capaity. I dont want to by a tire that limits me to much, but dont need full load. I would like close to or less sidwall flex then what i have.

question has arose on the use of bias ply tires vs radial tires?

When does tire size vs load range vs sidewall flex vs lbs rating
come into play?
I would like to go from 30" tires currently to close to a 34" tire i am looking at.

i dont drive to many miles.
