Who do you trust to do KDP and Pump work near Denver?

Greetings,
I am a new TDR member and new CTD owner. I have purchased a 92 w250 CC, Getrag.
I am not happy with the mileage. I will be in the Denver area as soon as I get my Getrag rebuilt and would like to find someone there who I can trust to address the KDP issue and check and tweak my pump. I have tried to do everything right with the best parts on this truck but have not seen towing mileage close to what others are claiming - about 10 pulling a 7000 pound travel trailer. Also, the truck will not hold fifth gear with the trailer unless the conditions are unchallenging. One side note - the temp guage does not rise much even though I have it floored for extended periods with a load on it. I thought it would rise more than a few needles widths.
Any ideas or recommendations would be appreciated - also, are there any other deadly issues such as the KDP that must be addressed on my truck?
