Hooking up the wastegate

AS you can see from my signature, I have a PDR HX35 with a wastegated 12 cm housing on my early 91 (I KNOW, I need to post pictures of it, for the redneck/ afro engineering impared). Coming home this evening, I opened it up on the flat, and hit 36 psi/ 1300 deg. It was too dark to see if there was any smoke, though I imagine there was a haze. My question is this: what do I need for hooking up the WG, and how much do I turn the rod in/ out to increase the blow off pressure? It is off a 94 or 95, so I imagine it is set for 18 or so psi. I'd like to set it for 30 or thereabouts. Or so I even need the gate? How much is too much for the HX35 and 12? I will eventually get new injectors, and am leaning towards the EDMs, and I will get an intercooler and all the rest of the goodies as money allows, so will probably end up with a 16 on there, attached to this turbo or an HX40. (Ok, I know a 16 from an HX35 isnt interchangeable with one from an HX40, but I think you get my drift). This wastegated housing is NICE for bottom end, and spanking the 350s and ricers, but may not support what I want to end up with, esp with my 4.10s. I have no EGT troubles here at sea level, but will be going back home (hopefully) soon, and may run into trouble at 6000- 7000 ft.

THanks

Daniel
