tryin to make due

hey guys. right now i have a stock turbo, with a wastegated 16cm housing. a friend of mine gave me a hx40w turbo off of i think it was an 8.3 chevy or something, it is brand new, he worked at case for some years and aquired it from them :-) can i get a turbo housing to fit this turbo to our exhaust manifold? are all hx40's the same and i just need a turbine housing that fits? or do they make a hx40 specifically for our motors? also, i would like to know if anyone else has put on a wastegated turbo and housing on their first gen and if so, how did they run the oil return back into the motor, from the turbo? i just ran some hose, but i dont like how it looks, and i want to say it isnt working out like i wanted and it seems to burn some oil now. i dont know if it is backing up with lack of flow or what, i have yet determined the problem. but, my truck never burned oil before, and it doesnt leak. i am losing some oil somewhere tho, and i can smell it. thanks for any help.
