Less chirp, cooler?

I have noticed when I let my EGT cool down with enough time (1:20 to 2:30) that their is less to no chirp from the serpentine belt. Any one else experience this? I do not have gauges yet and I wonder if you folks who do have gauges, noticed the same relationship to shut-down temps and belt chirp. Thanks in advanced to all the congregations devout following, Patrick
