Intercooled vs non-intercooled

Hi all, I recently looked at a '91 non-intercooled truck in very nice stock form. I was wondering if there are any major disadvantages to purchasing the non-intercooled version of this engine. Would tweaking the power levels up be different etc.... Thanks for any advice on this subject.
