Advice on oil duty cycle on cat3126b

Hey fellas, any of you guys a fleet mechanic for town trucks? My question is how do you rate the service duty of the oil for mild, medium or severe duty applications. These are Ford box trucks at 33,000 lbs and run in town between tree cutting and chipping jobs. They run empty half the time. Personally, I would think severe with town, but at 32quarts of Delo 400 a change, i would like your opinions please. Cat has a recommendation of miles, but they rate the duty. Cat 3126B turbos.
