Leaking injector pump how to fix it?
Hi, I just got back from a 2000 mile trip. The last 700 miles I have had fuel leaking out of the injector pump. At idle it is a steady drip, when I throttle it up it drips faster, kind of sprays. When I shut it off, the leak stops, but if I pump the manual lever on the lift pump, it drips a little. The leak seems to be coming from under the pump. By looking with a mirror, I can see an oval shaped cover on the bottom of the pump that is angled towards the drivers side. It has 2 torx headed cap screws holding it on. The leak appears to be coming from under that cover, but I'm not positive. I checked the screws and they were tight.
What should I do next? Thanks, Joel
