Go petal hard to push

Help, I have been told that the 89 auto had a problem with a very stiff go petal and there may be a mod to lighten the foot pressure needed to make more speed. Can someone help me out and verify. and if there is a fix what would the pn# be

Waiting for the guages to arrive ordered for the 02 and the 93 the 89 will have to wait for a while. Do you think Hillary feels my pain? I wonder if she would pick up the tab?
