2001 2500 4 whl drive 6 speed trans: driving home I experienced a complete clutch failure. Pedal goes to the floor with no resistance, does not disengage the trans. Got home by rpm shifting. Had to start the truck at a red light in gear; scary.
Reading the factory manual this master cylinder, lines and slave cylinder is considered one item with no separate replacement.
Can this be the problem? Mileage is 82k with original clutch.
I am a remodeling contractor hauling a 6k tool trailer.
Suggestions please as I am dead in the water.
