07 with code 1740- Trans slipping bad
My brother has an 07 Quad cab dually 4wd with 5.9 This morning his computer started throwing the 1740 code. Put the truck in drive and trans doesnt engage immediately if at all. When accellerating when it gets to the shift point for first into second it starts to slip and goes back into first. He's got a bully dog triple doge that stays in the economy setting about 95% of the time. Truck has about 48k on it. What can I tell him?
