Took the snow cutters off "Old Ugly" and replaced the destroyed tire and rim. Using them to switch out the wide tires/rims on "New Ugly" for the old stock tire size 235/85R-16E, BFG Mud Kings with studs. Handling is really different, less squirrely. The tread on the Mud Kings are 7" wide and the other tires are 8" wide. Suprised at the difference. We'll see how they handle in the snow, pretty quick
. If they wear well, I may get another set, down the road, IF I can find them at a reasonable price. Discount Tire really got in my wallet with one replacement tire. They had to bring that tire in from Grand Junction. Said "there wasn't a demand for those tires on the Eastern Slope"
. They always tell me that their prices are the best, Funny that the quoted price on the first visit is never the "best price" especially when you tell them you are going to "shop around". GregH
