Transmission Bearing Question
I need help - my trans, 2004.5 48RE 105,000 miles has been making noise, Roaring, Howling, whatever you want to call it. I was convinced the source was planetary gears, as I recently did a filter & fluid change, and found a significant amount of gray dust on the pan magnet.
After consulting several trans experts, including Suncoast they are telling me the most likely source of this noise & problem is a Bearing in the tail (OD ? ).
Anyone had similar problem ? Comments & advice welcome.
