The dpf lasted a little over 150,000 miles. I was told by the tech that the life expectation of the dpf was between 150 and 175,000 miles.

For the first time I'm going to admit this, I removed the dpf, the egr cooler and the egr valve and have not had a bit of problems since. I now have 221,000 plus miles on the truck. I no longer haul, so the miles have not been adding up like they used to. This will probably be my last truck. It should last me forever.

ad with your 6.7, yes or no, further down in the same topic you mention that you are not in the oilfeild anymore, typical piling on bullcheater of TDR looks like to me!! I still have my emissions eq intact. Ranch roads dont equal oil patch roads anymore either. Why did you not mention all of the problems you had with your 6.7????
Every problem I've had with my truck has been noted on this forum. No, I'm not in the oilfield anymore because the work dried up around here. I do have to make a living. I will go back in a minute if things pick back up. The reason I took the dpf off is because I couldn't see spending $2200 every 18 months or so for a new one. That's what I was driving when I was in the oilfield. I pulled the rest off because I was out of warranty and yes, I had had problems with the emission equipment. It is my truck, I'm paying the bill, and, like I said, no problems since. The 6.7 is a good engine, better than the competition and without the government required emissions crap, I don't believe it can be beat.
When I had problems I came on the forum, stated what it was and what it took to fix it. I didn't b#### and moan about what a piece of crap it was. If you're that unhappy with your truck, get rid of it and get a different flavor, then you'll really have something to gripe about.
