Picked up the lemon today, CEl came on again after...
Well went to Devine to my dealer to pick the LEMON, they replaced under warranty the converter, sensor, sensor exhaust, bypass, reflashed it and modified the tailpipe (no charge). If out of warranty over $3000, I had to pay nada.
I was charged $450 for egr valve service gasket etc.
We took off down the road and made it 30 miles to Charlotte, CEl came back on, we took it back to Brown and they got a new turbo sensor installed and we came home, wasted 3 days hauling it up and driving it back and who knows how long until it smokes up the converter again. I am going to look for delte installs and cost and different kits posts or start a new one as I am aproaching 100,000 miles and end of the factory warranty. It was sad to see the dealership as well, once it was a truck a day sold dealership, over 75 Cummins 4x4 trucks in stock all the time, now all it had were 5 cummins new trucks, some 2nd hand low milage trucks and no new jeeps but last years models, there was also empty stalls for the first time ever in the service bays, sure looks like this dealership is on its last legs, I drove by the other Dodge Dealer and they had very little stock as well as opposed to 6 months ago, guess the best thing that could have happened was that Dodge was allowed to die and be sold off in pieces. Can you imagine the resell value i have lost due to the 6.7 first year version being such a turd?? I bet instead of adding for the 6.7 in the Blue book they will deduct for the 6.7!!!LOL Like I said, beware if you have a 6.7 and drive it on a ranch and idle it at all, beware if you drive it in normal mud, the tailpipe gets so hot it will bake the mud solid and close the opening and about kill you with fumes, sad parts availability as well continues.
