2004.5 48re 2nd gear is short
Sorry if this has been hashed over before. I searched and can not find the exact issue with other threads.
With normal throttle, the trans shifts into 2nd gear at about 12mph and into 3rd at about 22mph. If I get on the throttle, it shifts at 15mph and 25mph.
Is 2nd gear supposed to only have a 10mph spread or is this indicative of the need to replace the governor pressure solenoid and the temperature transducer?
I have done the ATF 4 changes at 30k and 60k. Band adj at 60k.
Now has 73k. Trans temp normally runs 150-170 degrees. I lock out OD for city driving.
