I pulled my cad and it was full of water. Probably could be drained and reused. I just replaced it. I about 9 yrs later I sucked water in the system and lost 4wd. By the time I got pulled out, I sunk into the Florida Muck. Water then intruded the transmission via a B&M trannny plug kit (garbage). That cost me a tranny. It also gave me an excuse to get an ATS tranny  Do yourself a favor. Get rid of the CAD and get the Posi-lok cable. I did and it is great. Hope this helps
