Engine stalls when put into gear

I was driving and doing fine pulling 5TH wheel. Stopped to have a quick visit with nature. Did not turn off engine. Ready to leave and put it into drive and the engine stalled suddenly... No, idle not to low. Tried several times same thing. I checked and exchanged relays and fuses that had any thing to do with operation. I tried to search forums no help. Please help.. Charlie
