2WD front end

Hey all you 2WD guys.. I just learned some things about the front end on these things (I have a '95, 5spd, LB 2WD), and wondered if anyone has any input. I bought my 'new' '95 early this yr and had both upper ball joints replaced with 'new style' teflon ball joints?.. Well 5 months later the right wheel is healing over at a 15 degree angle.. the ball joint had popped up and out of the flanged hole in the upper 'A' arm. My first though was that these 'new' style ball joints failed, but it seems that the right one just popped out. Took it to Les Schwab to get it fixed and the fellow said he'd never seen one pop out.!? My thought and my question is, has anyone else seen this and since the ball joint unit is just, bassically, pressed into a hole, wouldn't doing this once or twice tend to loosen the hole and make it more probable that this might happen?
I had to replace the right 'A' arm and the ball joint and the mech. also said most other cars/trucks had some kind of circlip or such, to hold the ball joint into the 'A' arm and the Dodge was a poor design. Zat so? Thanks for input.. JohnG
