Rear brake rotor destroyed

After having a shuttering feel to the brakes yesterday I pulled the tires off the truck to check for problems. I found that the passengers side rear rotor to be completely destroyed. The inside face of the rotor is maybe 1/32" thick. The outside face is fine as well as the other three rotors. I guess the caliper must have failed. I just had the truck in to the dealer for a 100k service since I had the 100k warranty and the truck had 98k. I called the dealer and they stated that they checked the brakes and found no problems two weeks ago. Now I have to locate new rotors and calipers which I am finding to be difficult. My truck will probably be out of commission for a week or so until the new parts are in. This failure gave no warning indication other than the shuttering that I felt. There were metal shavings all over the inside of the wheel and rotor.

Just wanted to make everyone aware of the situation. Don't hesitate to check your rear brakes for unusual wear. I have found out the hard and expensive way.

Anyone else experience this problem?

Sorry for being so long.
