no dash-tail lights

hi guy's, head lights work, blinkers, brakes.no dash, or tail lights. fuse for illumination is good but does not respond to tester.this happened 3 weeks ago with all the same signs, put in new light switch on dash and fixed it. do you think the switch is out again, so soon. please don't tell me i have a electrical short, arrrrrr... any help please, thanks
