Which exhaust to go with??

Hello,im in the market for a new exhaust,in and around $400.00 seems to be the range i'd like to spend. I will be pulling a 7000lb trailer and would like to know if a larger diameter pipe and less restrictive muffler will lower EGT's? Will MPG increase or is that just a sales pitch from the larger exhaust manufacturers? Which kit will give the throatiest and deepest tone? As far as decibals go,it wont bother me how loud it is,but i would like it to sound right.Lets hear it.............
