2nd Gen Fastener Database
I had mentioned in an earlier thread that I recently started writing down what tool is required for every nut, bolt or other connector I touch on my Ram, plus the correct torque, with an eye toward someday having a database that will enable me to grab all the right tools before I climb under The Beast.
I have a long, lonnnnnng way to go before I have a usefully complete collection of data. In the interest of encouraging some of y'all to contribute some data, too, I'll just whet your appetites by listing what I have so far. I'm collecting this on an Excel spreadsheet, and will be happy to distribute it to anyone who asks, as it grows bigger. Some of the data is not 'factory spec', but rather common tools that work in place of the required uncommon ones (for instance, a 30 mm socket wrench works on the huge Torx drain plugs on the transfer case).
