Transfer case input bearing replacement
While installing my new clutch, I noticed that I had a slight leak of ATF from the input seal on my T-case. After I removed the seal holder plate, I noticed that the bearing for the input to the t-case is damaged and needs to be replaced. Does anyone know if I have to split the case to replace this bearing, or does the bearing come out the front of the case without disassembling the case? The bearing has a 6010N marking on it. I assume NAPA will be able to provide the bearing, or do I have to go to Dodge? I found the bearing at www.drivetrain.com, but I would like to pick it up locally so that I can get the truck back on the road tomorrow.
