CB Antenna Question for the Guru's

i was looking at a wilson sw2000 mounted on the front bed rail centered with the cab.. hows my reception going to be and distance.. ? or is there a better mounting point.

im going to be running a peaked and tuned texas ranger.. nothing too serious, but would like to get 3-5 miles on a clear day..

dont i really need to have the load above the tallest part of the truck?

i do not want to run a magnet mount.. and with stacks the antenna is kinda too close to the stake pocket hole and thinking deflection from being right next to a big chrome tube..
