wheel spacer pros/cons

I'm wanting to eventually go to 315/75R16 Toyo Open Country MT's, but am concerned about rubbing/clearance issues. I already have 2" RevTek spring spacers and am planning on getting DT Pro Fab 1/2" extended control arms when I do the inverted "T" conversion in the spring. Will this be enough to alleviate the clearance issues or should I consider wheel spacers? If so, what are the pros/cons of wheel spacers. Any and all input is greatly appreciated.
