new tow mirror glass replacement

does anybody know how to replace the new tow mirror glass, because it's changed and doesn't have that spring wire no more, and when did it change, anybody know, i have about 4 mirrors that i ordered and can't really use on the old mirror, all i need to know is how to take apart....looks like 3 metal tangs and the plastic ball holding the mirror....
