24v transfer case in 12v
My t-case let loose last week, would pop out of gear then back in, sounded and felt pretty bad. Snap ring was ok, so I decided to replace the whole t-case. The only one I could find in the area (eastern NV) with the right spline count (29) was from a 24v with no speedo sensor hole. It bolted in fine, just now I am trying to decide if I want to keep this t-case, and figure out how to put the speed sensor on the rear axle. So, does anyone know the easiest way to do this? I do have rear wheel abs, I don't know if that makes a difference.
Or maybe it would be easier/better to rebuild the old one. Haven't had time to take it apart and see what the problem is.
