Can I use the non-A/C serpentine belt?

I have to do a 1500 mile trip from FL to MN, and the A/C compressor clutch is scraping as a spring has broken. As a temporary fix, can I fit the non-A/C serpentine belt, or is it a problem that the wrong side of the belt will run on the idler pulley? Does anyone have a part number for the non-A/C belt? Thanks.
