Temperture Inaccuracy - Overhead Console
The temperature reading in my overhead console always indicates about 4 or 5 degrees higher than actual temperature. Where is the sensor located? I realize that the thermometer has a delayed readout and that engine compartment temperature can affect the reading but mine seems to have a permanent error. Are all of them inaccurate? Can they be adjusted? Is there a recommended cure? Should I plan on a trip to my dealer for a warranty replacement?
Any advice or information will be appreciated.
