A/C problem

The last couple of mornings the A/C didn't work for about 10 - 15 minutes then worked fine afterwards. I took it to the dealer this morning without turning it on, hoping it would act up when I got there but sure enough it worked fine. I wouldn't mess with dealer except I have an extended warranty. Dealer says bring it in when it isn't working.
Anyone have any idea what the cause might be?
