Need to replace the rear brake shoes soon on my 99 2500. I'm looking at the new shoes and notice that two have more pad material than the others - about 1 1/2" longer and more thickness as well. Does the shoe with more material go on the leading or trailing position on each side? I assume there is some logic to this, just don't know what it is at this point. Normally I'd just put the new ones on the way the old ones came off, but I'm not convinced the dealer put the current ones on right after replacing the oil seals. The two shorter shoes are almost done while the longer ones have 1/2 material left.
Thanks in advance.
