Rear Diff Leaks
I made another typcial mountain run with the horse trailer this weekend. When I got home and unhitched the trailer in the dark, I could feel a greasy film on the jackhandle, and smelled the telltale differential fluid smell.
Next morning, I see that the rear punkin' is wet with fluid, and has dripped about a 2-inch diameter puddle. I'm going to have to wipe everything off real good and try to figure out where it's coming from but from other posts I found on a search, it looks like towing and pinion seal leaks seem to go hand-in-hand.
Any suggestions before I dive under there in the mud and start poking around? This is new territory for me...
Thanks,
JimD
