Backup Light Problem

I have noticed that when I backup the backup lights blink. It seems to happen only when I am moving. At first I thought it was my eyes (old age

), but it keeps happening. I put the truck in reverse and the lights will blink as I am moving. If I stop they stay on. But it does not happen all the time and only when just starting out in reverse.

Any ideas? Is the sender failing? Anyone else have this problem?
