CA Residents buying out of state trucks

I have a 96' 2500 SLT 4x4 5 Speed for sale in Colorado and have a gentleman from California interested in purchasing it. I do not know the emissions regulations in California and I am not sure if the would be purchaser knows the regulations either. Does anyone know if the purchaser would have any problem registering it in CA? I live in a rural county that does not require any emissions and I am currently running a straight 4" exhaust. I don't want the buyer to get any unexpected surprises when he gets home.
