Dana 80 Rear Diff.......
I started getting a chatter from the rear end and upon inspection found my rear diff cover leaking. I pulled the cover off, drained it and jacked up each side of the axle to get it all out. After reinstalling the cover and refilling the axle I still have the chatter. I did the figure 8's and it is still there. I have never had to use any friction modifier in the past while running Amsoil Series 2000 75w-140. Do you think it did any damage when I started hearing the chatter because of the leaking rear cover? Any advice would be great. I would hate to have to take it somewhere and have them tear it apart. I haven't added and modifier yet wanted to pick your brains first. As you can see from my signature I have some good mileage on the truck and it is all from towing.
