cell phone interference?

Anyone know why I get a loud, rapid clicking sound from my speakers when my cell phone is being used with the truck running? The clicking stops when the radio is turned off. I have an aftermarket stereo, amp and speakers. I have checked all of the connections and they seem fine. Also, I use a nextel phone. The interference is especially bad when using the direct connect feature. Thanks.

by the way, I am not admitting in any way shape or form that I engage in or endorse having phone conversations while driving.

I am wayyyyy too busy watching my gauges!!
