Can the Aisin be reprogrammed?

My truck thinks it has about 800hp and it needs to shift at 2000rpm...even when grossing 37K. It can't handle it. Can that be changed?

If I stick my foot to the floor it'll run it up higher but I don't want to have to floor it to get going all the time. I'd rather be nice to it. Even on what I consider to be a harder than normal acceleration, it wants to shift at 2000rpm.
