Ok I'm still new to CTD by a long shot, but I'm learning. I plan on changing the fluids in the differentials, tranny, and transfer case in the near future. One thing I really want to get to with these
warm summer days that are coming is a coolant change.
I have no idea when the last time the coolant was changed in the truck. I just bought it last August (gosh I've had it almost a year!
) and have done the absolutely necessary (fuel and air filters) and started to do the tranny till I found out the cost of the lube
Anyhow I'm getting off subject as usual. What type of coolant do you guys use? Something I can pick up at the local parts house, or maybe.... even.... possibly..... Wal-Mart? (employee discount
)
I know have heard something about a addative that your need to use when changing coolant?
I'll shut up with saying that if someone could just do a basic run-down of what I need and the way I need to do I'd be really appreciative. Thanks
