Wierd electrical problem

Need some experienced input please. I have a 2004.5 3500 QC 4X4 (auto trans) that has three times done something strange. While driving between 60 and 70mph, all the gauge needles have dropped toward zero, come back up immediately and a chime sounds. It first occurred with about 6300 miles on the odometer, again at about 7800 and thirdly at about 9200 miles. Once I was towing and twice I wasn't. No apparent loss of power when this happens. I've had it back to the dealer and they think it is some sort of short but can't find anything wrong. Also, no error code logged. Any suggestions? Thanks.
