Question What's the deal with the 3rd Gen. front door seals?

I noticed my front door seals squeeking whenever I open the door since it's been cold lately. It seems that everytime you open the door the seal gets really pinched on both front doors. It's starting to damage the seal as you can see in the photos at www.cummins4wd.com

Does everyone else's rigs do the same thing? I wonder if I can get some new door seals before the 36,000 mark since it seems to be a design issue.

I imagine these seals are expensive...$100+
