Question Rhinotuffbumper's

Anyone out there installed a Rhinotuffbumper on their 3rd geners. On page 171 of TDR issue 48 lower right is a picture and description of same. Just wonder how your experience and input is on this accessory.?
One 4WD shop said to use caution as they might cause the air bag sensor to engage on light contact. Does this sound like sense.?
My body shop of many years say our trucks are engineered to give way on impact, supposed to protect the passengers more. Just some rumors I have heard here. Thanks to anyone on their experience here on this. Was thinking of "Deer" protection here. Thanks,

Chuck
