Goodyear GSA strange wear pattern

Past 2 months have noticed really odd wear pattern on my front tires. So last week I have the beast looked at by a very well known and respected shop here in town and the man says nothing is wrong with the truck. So off to Goodyear for a rotate and balance. Since I wanted to put the funny looking ones on the rear, they were all to happy to charge me $120 for 4 mount/dismounts. Well, here 6 days and 2900 miles later, guess what getting the same wear pattern already !!! Back to the front end shop, double check, everything hunky dory. Man says Goodyears problem, have them call me! Friend of mine that used to work at a DEALERSHIP said perhaps the sidewalls in the tires are getting weak in the year they have been on truck, first set had rips in the sidewall, 1/2 inch out from bead, just like quite a few others here, this time they are getting " scallopped" on the inside and outside edges, any ideas?? Truck has 94k on it these tires 52k in the past 12 months.
