MBRP installed today...freakin' wicked.

Well the UPS guy shows up around noon and just had to slap it on. Start to finish including test drive was around 2.0 hrs, beer breaks included and 30 minutes wasted on a minor glitch . Since I had air with an impact and die grinder it went fairly quick.

The sound......? I can only describe it like this...If Porsche built a turbo diesel of this displacement, it would likely sound like a Cummins HO ISD with a MBRP. At cruise I couldn't tell the difference from stock...just as quiet, no drone or resonance. I haven't had it on the hwy doing 70 yet so I may refine that statement later. Only when you get into it does it growl. Almost like the sound of a kitten purring...well...er...a 7000 lb kitten that's very very angry. It seems to have picked up a little more grunt but we'll see when I throw it on the dyno in a few weeks after the intake mods.

Quality and fit was what I'd expect for something this size. The T-304 looks like T-304 should. The design of the can, as most of you have seen on DPP's site, is unique. All hangars lined up well and there's enough adjustability to situate the tip either high or low depending on your taste. I tucked it up close to the fender and will post pics later. The tip is nicely done with a mirror polish and looks like a bazooka sticking out the back.

Some tips:
1. Silicone the hangar grommets, they'll slip off easier. Remove all of them first except the tailpipe end...do that one last. The shipment box is exactly the right height to set under the pipes to hold them up while you work it off.

2. If you're installing on a DRW/LWB 3500, the extension pipe that comes with the kit is not needed. I wasted 1/2 hour removing the factory extension from the muffler to mount it back on the cat. Just leave the factory extension in place since it has hangars mounted to it.

3. The entire factory exhaust intact, and only separated at the cat, will come out easily without cutting it up.
4. Have enough beer to complete the job
5. It is a 1-man job but 2 would have made it easier.

Overall, nice setup and killer sound. Time to go scare some old ladies
