Accelerator Stuck!

I was driving to Walmart Yesterday morning and i accelerated through an intersection on a 30 mph school street and the pedal stuck right to the floor. When i picked my foot up the truck took off like a rocket. My first thought was "oh @#$% this is scarry", it wasn't to turn the truck off or push in the clutch. i finally did push in the clutch and the engine went well past redline. i eventually got my foot under the pedal and pulled it back, not easy as i wear a size 15 boot.

I drove straight to the dealer and told them what happened. the old fart told me they were all booked up and all the technicians were at lunch and asked if i wanted to make an appointment. i told him not to bother and left. the good thing is i can't get it to duplicate and assume it was a freak accident.

Note: It was in the 20's but it was my second trip of the morning and there was nothing that could have wedged in the pedal assembly.
