Howling noise

Hi Guys,
I know this has been discussed but has there been a definate answer to the howling heard when vehicle is going between 20 and 30. The noise is heard accelerating and decelerating. My dealer said it was turbo noise but noway as I hear it coasting down a hill. I'm reading driveline bearing or carrier bearing. Is this the general concensus of the problem? It is MUCH louder when cold. The colder the louder. I have an 04, 3500 Quad with 8' bed with 21,000 miles. Appreciate any help.
Thanks...Larry
