? about ladder bars.

i'm wondering how to install the bars. i'm looking at superlifts torque max standard series. is it just a matter of bolting them on? or do i need to put some weight down on the suspension, then bolt or weld them? also visa-versa, take weight off the rear? i'm probably thinking too much into this but any help is appreciated.
