MPG Spike

For the last few months I've been lucky to get 19.7MPG's max on my 05.....usually it's between 17.8 and 19.7. It's obviously a CTD, has the 48RE, manual 4wd shifter, 3.73 posi rear and has no mods, with the exception of a Mag-Hytec DD trans pan. I filled up at Citgo yesterday and drove around for a bit, then today I drove in to work, which is 45 miles away from home. The computer is saying 23.1MPG's. I have no idea what the heck is going on.....the needle is in between full and 7/8's and the tripmeter is reading 139.2. I'm confused on this. I regularly use Howes Meaner Power Cleaner, and occasionally Power Service which I added on the last fill up, but not this one. Anyone got any ideas?
