What brand of shocks should I use?

With 99,000 miles on my rig and original shocks, it's time to replace? What is goods shocks for comfort and handling? i want good roadholding and damping without being too firm. Also, I want durability. Is gabriel good enough? monroe sensatrac? I would like feedback about what you guys are running and how they changed the feel of the truck if any. i have 35 12.50 17 tires but run mostly onroad and empty. HArd to buy a gasser and get 15 mpg when I can get 17-23!
