This has been going on now for about 2 months, and I am getting extremely annoyed.
This rattle only happens in very low speed braking (less than about 15 MPH), right before the dead stop.
I have been underneath, checked for ice, loose bolts, cracked leaf springs, ect.. the only thing I thought it could be was the loose tailpipe into my straight pipe. Added another clamp, still makes noise.
The closest thing I can describe it to is imagine an aluminum tube or chunk of wood rolling across the bed of your truck from wheel well to wheel well. Thud thud thud thud....a very muffled noise.
It seems to be coming from the passengers side of the truck, somewhere between the front door seam and the cab/bed split.
FWIW, the last several months it has been extremely cold here, I think it has been above 32 two times. Todays' high was 8

Is there ice somewhere, or could the noise be from the brakes?
Anyone?
